Black Spot |
Products: Plant Wash or cornmeal “tea” (soak whole ground cornmeal in water for 4 to 6 hours, drain and use liquid as a foliar spray), sprinkle whole ground cornmeal at base of plant NOTE: Remove affected leaves when possible to prevent spread of disease.

Sooty Mold | Sooty mold grows on honeydew secreted by aphid and scale insects. Eliminate insect problems. |

Chlorosis | Products: Green sand (shrubs – 2 cups/1” trunk diameter; lawn – 15 to 20 lbs/1000 square feet; garden – 5 lbs/100 square feet), Actino-iron, apply one to three inches of compost or living mulch around the base of plants. |

Weeds | Products: Orange oil/vinegar mix (2 ounces orange oil per gallon of 20% vinegar plus 1 tbsp. of molasses, 1/4 tsp. of liquid dish soap) makes a NON-SELECTIVE herbicide . NOTE: Good lawn maintenance reduces compaction and strengthens turf which can suppress weeds. Fertilize several times each year, mow regularly, spray monthly with Medina Plus, water deeply when necessary, and apply ½” of compost to lawn twice a year. |
